EcoCo going well on tracks

The recent purchase of the EcoCo Softrak is now operational following the training of eight of the project partners earlier in December. It has been purchased to satisfy the demand by the project partners to manage unwanted vegetative growth on sensitive nature conservation sites. The Softrak cut and collect machine is capable of working on soft and boggy ground having a very low ground pressure and is equipped to perform a variety of functions that include; convey materials and equipment, cut and remove off site low growing coarse and woody vegetation and chip pre-cut woody material using a mountable chipping attachment. The machine is primarily for use by the project partners and within the Central Scotland Green Network area, and it can also be made available for use by other organisations so long as it is for nature conservation management purposes. Enquiries about its use should be made to the Project Coodinator; Stephen Longster. Watch a short video.
